There has been a shift in the traditional superpower and structural diplomacy framework, and it has been recognized that this has transformed each side’s ideological perspectives and strategic methods. As a result, new actors from a wide variety of fields have emerged as powerful forces in politics, the economy, the military, and the media. Just as conventional diplomacy is being rethought, so too are ideologically-based strategic alliances.
The Centre for Governance and Intra-Africa Trade Studies (CGIATS) is a dedicated academic hub advancing research and policy solutions to foster effective governance and promote intra-African trade. By uniting African scholars and institutions, CGIATS champions sustainable development, economic integration, and the spirit of Pan-African unity.
